REXPEARL™ FR is a PE-based material with flame retardant properties without the use of halogenated substances.
Flame Resistance
REXPEARL™ FR is a polyethylene-based resin compounded with non-halogen flame retardant.
It can be used in places where general polyethylene, which is flammable, could not be used, such as electric wire and cable coatings.
Low Smoke
Compared to PVC, which is often used as a flame retardant material, REXPEARL™ FR emits less smoke when burning.
It is possible to reduce the damage caused by smoke when the fire occurs.
Nontoxic
Halogenated flame retardants and PVC generates toxic gases when burned. As REXPEARL™ FR is a compound of polyethylene-based resins and non-halogen flame retardants, it only generates water and carbon dioxide when burning; no toxic gases produced.
Processable
We have REXPEARL™ FR grades not only for cable coating but also for blow molding into sheets and other shapes.
Colorable
REXPEARL™ FR can be colored to various colors by using pigments.
This makes processing colored identification cables and colored sheets possible.
Our colored grades (red, yellow, blue, etc.) are already widely used for cables.
